The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Snowballs, ridden by L.F. Roche, and Princess Chloe, ridden by T. Casey where it appeared Snowballs suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.F. Roche stated that he received contact from his right. T. Casey stated that he thought there was enough room when he switched left from behind the leader. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found T. Casey, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and his right to be accompanied, T. Casy elected to proceed without accompaniment.

Reese Holohan, rider of Hexagonal, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung slightly right close to the line.

B.M. Coen, rider of Thurso (GB), trained by G.E. O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action in the home straight.

L.F. Roche, rider of Snowballs, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump two furlongs from home.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Send Harry, ridden by J.S. Dalton, and Bundle Of Interest, ridden by W.J. Lee where it appeared the horses made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that his mount was hanging right and when the gap presented itself, he felt he was entitled to try to fill it. J.S. Dalton stated that he felt he had held his line at that point when receiving pressure from his right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found W.J. Lee, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and his right to be accompanied, J.S. Dalton elected to proceed without accompaniment.

W.J. Lee, rider of Bundle Of Interest, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right from the turn in and that he had to take a precautionary check in the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Beau Army, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Tadhg McGuinness, Authorised Representative for A. McGuinness, trainer, stated that the application of first time visor may have contributed to the improvement in form today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

S. Foley, rider of Full Volume (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action coming down the hill.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Full Volume (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, prior to race six, concerning the late request to substitute J.M. Sheridan with D. Browne McMonagle on Celtic Motif. Evidence was heard from the trainer who apologised for the lateness of the request, and stated that it was an error on his part as his regular representative would have requested the sustitution at scales on arrival. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the substitution.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Benevento, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.W. O'Connor accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D.W. O'Connor was in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and in considering his record (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays.
